“You knit me together in my mother’s womb” Psalm 139:13
This pastoral ministry began in America in 1998 and was introduced to the Perth City Centre Kirks in 2010. Now in our 10th year, we gather as friends from different denominations to knit and crochet together in prayerfulness. Shawls are blessed and given to comfort and support those suffering illness or bereavement or to celebrate birthdays or special anniversaries. Baby clothes are given to local hospitals; hats to the Seafarers in Aberdeen and blankets to Blythswood Trust.
We meet as a group in our kirk hall on James Street from 10am – 12 noon the last Saturday of most months and can be contacted in between times. Please see the Church calendar for dates. We invite knitters or those who would like to learn to join us.
