Formed some 10 years ago, the remit of the Social Committee is to foster fellowship both within and outwith our Church. Our winter event alternates between a traditional Burns Supper, held at McDiarmid Park, and a less formal Scottish Night staged in our kirk hall.
The committee also arranges regular away days with coach travel to places of interest the length and breadth of the country. The programme to date has included visits to Culloden; the Scottish Fisheries Museum at Anstruther; various historic properties, including Dumfries House; the Royal Yacht Britannia and Glasgow Transport Museum.
In addition to our own members and their friends, the committee is always delighted to welcome members of our sister congregation of St John’s Kirk, or anyone interested in our activities.
